God’s timing is always perfect. Perfect as the timing he allowed me to write this at this very moment. Perfect as the opportunity he has given me to exchange this form of knowledge to empower, if not all, at least 1 individual. I, myself, am still learning and growing through the way of God’s timing.
God’s timing requires a wait. The wait leading to patience. Patience leading to your destination. Patience and I just have never connected. I mean really, never seeing eye to eye. Beating myself up every single day with the negative voices in my head speaking on me not doing enough, not accomplishing personal goals I’ve set for myself, or not being where I THINK I should be at this time of my life. You know the person who ALWAYS seems to be “Ok”, when deep down not, that was me…until recently. I have a strong support system between my Mom and my Man, I mean they make it all better, but, deep down for me something else was missing…my Faith.
I continued to paint this picture in my mind of how my life should be by now. This is where I went wrong. I was busy trying to create my own plan that I neglected God’s plan. Picture God’s plan being your house. His plan provides the blueprint. Where you collect your sources, such as supplies to draw out your plan and measurements for how big your dreams are. Then you purchase your tools to begin to build up your house. But, as we know, to build a house is to build from the ground up. Before we get to the home decor, we have to start from the basement. The basement is considered your foundation. The home you and God will build no one else will ever have the power to tear down.
Beginning in your basement doesn’t necessarily mean your goals have changed, sometimes the order in which you wish to accomplish your goals does. Sometimes the things you want for yourself isn’t included in God’s plan at all. That’s the thrill of trusting his timing. I’m not going to give you a Bull story about how patience is a breeze to master, because I’d be lying! I’m still practicing patience and so far, I feel motivated and anxious (in a good way) because I know the universe is about to shift some things in my life right now. Setting the tone and standards for myself.
I’m here to encourage you all to never limit yourself or establish expiration dates when it comes to accomplishing your goals. Continue to express gratitude for today! The day after, and the day after, for how far you’ve come and where you’re headed (speak it into existence). Each and every day should be a day of thankfulness for another chance to become in alignment with our best selves. If you’re reading this, I challenge you to create a list of all the things (goals) you’ve accomplished, big or small, and celebrate those accomplishments. Next to that, write out a list of goals you wish to accomplish without time limits. Begin working on them just as you did with your accomplishment list, by building your foundation. Trusting God’s timing. Even though you may not be where you want to be, his timing will lead you exactly where you need to go.
