With the start of the Spring semester I have reverted back to my 6 alarms every 10 minutes routine…I sleep like a rock and with 9A.M. classes they are lifesavers! I have already found myself getting lost in my schedule and my seemingly endless ‘ToDo’ list. However, that hasn’t stopped me from aimlessly scrolling through my twitter feed. The other day I came across this tweet from a guy named Drew (@Amak_97) that said “Wow my pastor just said ‘Sometimes we set alarms and think that is the reason we wake up’… Let that sink in” I read it twice and then it hit me. We sometimes get so caught up in the motion of life that we forget why we are really here. We forget that tomorrow is not promised. I think the most important thing that I got from that tweet is that none of the alarms I set will matter if I am not taking care of my relationship with God. Because at the end of the day this degree, this lifestyle, these personal relationships that I am chasing will all mean nothing if I am not right in the sight of God. I would hate to become so accomplished in this life and fail at a relationship with God. So this semester I am challenging myself to make my relationship with God my biggest priority and trusting that the rest will fall into place!
